When did Baylor become a top 5 athletic program?

When you think of all the great athletic programs around the nation does the Baylor Bears come to mind? You might say yes right now, but would you have said that five years ago? What this small Texas school has done in the last few years is simply amazing. Baylor was the Vanderbilt of the Big 12, but now  their athletics program as a whole rivals Texas and Oklahoma. Now when I say athletic programs as a whole I'm not just talking football I'm talking every sport that they compete in.

Football ---> They just came off there greatest season in momentum times all while producing a Heisman winner in RGIII. This program might take a little set back with RGIII going pro, but with weaker Big 12 and the recruiting up swing that winning a Heisman will do for there team will but enough insurance to say the Bears are going to be a player in the Big 12 for years to come.

Woman's Basketball ---> In case you didn't noticed the NCAA woman's finals were last night and the Lady Bears were the ones cutting down the net finishing off a perfect undefeated season. Having a perfect season in any sport is hard enough but to do it in the Basketball over the course of so many games is a feat that is rarely reached.

Men's Basketball ---> Scott Drew has turned the Baylor Bears into one of the most dangerous teams in the nation. They made a strong run to the elite 8 this year, and I only think this program under Drew will continue to get better.

I'm not going to go sport by sport with Baylor, but Football and Basketball is the money makers for college athletics. I would put programs like Florida and Ohio St above Baylor, but looking at where the Bears have been and where they're heading, lets just say, if your one of the few Bears fans then you're on cloud 9 right now.
